Announcing our 2025 Annual Edition!

We’re excited to announce the details of our upcoming 2025 Annual, scheduled for release on Thursday, October 30th, 2025.

“The Witches’ Issue” will be open to submissions between July 1 and August 1, 2025. Reading will take place during the month of August, and decisions will go out no later than September 15, 2025. All details regarding submission guidelines are available on our Submission Calls page.

Submissions will be handled a bit differently this year than in the past, so please make sure you read our guidelines page carefully before sending in your work. The biggest change will be our new submission form, which will be visible only during our open submissions period. Instead of emailing us directly, you will use this form and attach your work to it. The form will deliver your submission to our readers directly.

Our 2025 Annual Edition is already lining up with great features to published alongside your stories. We’ll have an exclusive interview with 2026 debut author E.G. Young about her forthcoming novel, A (Dead) Thing Like Me, and her experience and advice regarding writing with disability.
